Duties:
Responsible for supporting all phases of the investment lifecycle for a sports-focused venture capital and private equity firm; building and maintaining financial analyses, including operating models, basic valuation work, revenue/expense forecasts, and return modeling; reviewing financial statements, operating plans, budgets, and KPIs for target companies and portfolio businesses; performing sector and company research across youth sports, sports facilities, events, sports tech, and related verticals; assisting in preparing investment memos, opportunity summaries, internal presentations, and materials for investment committee and Limited Partner review; reviewing CIMs, gathering data from management teams, and assessing assumptions behind financial projections; assisting in reviewing transaction-related documents such as operating agreements, term sheets, purchase agreements, and other investment materials; coordinating with legal counsel, accounting teams, and management teams during transaction execution; assisting with fund operations related tasks including investor materials, webinar preparation, NDAs, data-room setup, and investor tracking; utilize and apply knowledge of Financial Analysis, Investment Analysis, Startup Operations Business Strategy, Excel-Based Models, Financial Statement Interpretation, Foundational Business/Finance Concepts, Company Evaluation Analytics, Deal Structuring, Market Research, Deal Sourcing, sports companies’ monetization strategies, and Operating Reports to complete necessary tasks; tracking financial and operational performance of portfolio companies, including revenue trends, event economics, facility utilization, and EBITDA performance; supporting strategic initiatives such as market-entry analysis, expansion assessments, and operational improvement projects; assisting management teams with data gathering, budgeting reviews, and evaluation of growth opportunities; conducting research into new investment verticals, market trends, and potential acquisitions in the sports and entertainment ecosystem; and supporting internal strategic planning, including fund strategy work, comparable platform analysis, and pipeline evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).

Other Requirements: Must have completed one (1) academic semester of coursework and/or research work that included use of all the following: Financial Analysis, Investment Analysis, Startup Operations Business Strategy, Excel-Based Models, Financial Statement Interpretation, Foundational Business/Finance Concepts, Company Evaluation Analytics, Deal Structuring, Market Research, Deal Sourcing, sports companies’ monetization strategies, and Operating Reports.
